Listening to Our Body: Meditation & Movement
By interspersing meditation sessions with body movement practices, you can connect with your body-mind in a deep and gentle way. Inspired by Zazen, the Zen-Buddhist meditation, and the Japanese body technique seita-ho, it is an invitation to slow down and be able to listen to nature outside and inside us. The awareness of our body parts and movements brings us to the present moment, and lets us experience this same body as the mind in meditation, and vice versa.

Natural Dyeing & Shibori
This workshop combines two techniques: shibori and natural dyeing with plants. Shibori (็ต ใ) is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, which produces a number of different patterns on fabric. Each participant will learn some basic ways of tying, pinching and folding fabrics using rubber bands, clamps, pegs, and string, to create a one-of-a-kind cotton bandana. The workshop also explores the beauty of natural colour using plants. Teaching how to extract pigments from plants or food waste to make a dye bath, the participant will have a chance to dye their shibori-bandanas in them. There will be 2 or 3 colours of choice, made from plants or food waste available on the occasion such as turmeric, black tea, hibiscus, annatto seeds, marigolds, carrot tops, avocado pitch or onion skins.
